These are always a favourite of ours; solid Padauk strip! Often mistaken for Mahogany, this beautiful rosewood timber is always a joy to sand and finish. The grains that appear once the old varnish has been removed are quite something.

Once the floors were fully sanded, they were coated with the wonderful Rubio Monocoat in Pure to bring out those wonderful grains and tones.

If your in the Crystal Palace area and own an original solid wood floor, there’s a good chance its this! I can’t stress enough how difficult reclaimed Padauk has been to source over the years, so be sure to look after them!
